hVIVO would ike to recruit a Phlebotomist to work with the FluCamp Team at our sites in Whitechapel & Canary Wharf, east London.

hVIVO conducts human challenge clinical trials. The end goal of our work is to potentially eradicate common illnesses like the common cold and flu completely – or at least make treatment of them as easy and effective as possible. Our volunteers are central to the work that we do. Our studies focus on testing new treatments on real people, in a safe, controlled, clinical environment.
The Phlebotomist role is to effectively assess volunteer’s venous access and correctly use phlebotomy methods in accordance with current regulatory requirements. They will work collaboratively with the nursing team to meet the needs of volunteers and support the delivery of policy and procedures.
We currently require availabilty for 3-4 shifts a week. We run a 24/7 operation and you will be required to have flexibility for all shifts Monday -Sunday, days and nights accross all sites. we cannot offer fixed shifts.
The hourly rate for this role is £15/hour and you will be employed via a third party agency.
Good working experience in Phlebotomy in a UK healthcare structure is essential
GCSE Grade A-C Maths and English (Or equivalent)
Immediate Life Support
Hep B Immunisation
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
Ability to listen, clarify, identify solutions and agree actions
Good IT skills (Word and Excel or equivalent)
Strong and demonstrated attention to detail
Positive and Supportive Team player
Previous experience in clinical research environment, a Biological Science degree and good knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory standards would also be desireble.
